The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a semipermeable biomembrane. It separates the brain from the bloodstream.
Most brain diseases must be treated with drugs that can bypass the BBB. Such drugs are being developed using model systems of semipermeable biomembranes.
We invite students to Open Case lab where they can develop their own concept of an artificial biological membrane to simulate drug penetration across the BBB.
Our experts will provide mentorship and assistance. Specialists working in the field will evaluate your work and give you suggestions on how to improve it.
At the end of the program, participants will receive an official certificate of participation in the research project.
Participation is free.
